Governance

The North American Network Operators Group (NANOG), a not-for-profit activity that provides support of internet operations through its technical meetings, rich archive, and active mailing lists and communication forums.

Since 1994, NANOG has brought together networking professionals from Across North America for regular meetings, which are organized by Merit Network, a non-profit organization located in Michigan. Meetings occur three times a year and are hosted by Merit Network and other Organizations "Hosts" around the U.S. and Canada.

In partnership with Merit, leadership of NANOG is provided by the NANOG Steering, Program, and Communications Committees, established in 2005.
