Scholarships
The North American Network Operators Group (NANOG) helps support
networking and engineering education through participation in the following scholarships:
- Postel Network Operator's Scholarship.
The Postel Scholarship provides funding so that network operators from
developing nations may attend back-to-back meetings of NANOG and ARIN.
The scholarship aims to make it possible for operators to attend who
would not otherwise be able to, thus building on the legacy of Jon
Postel's lifetime contribution to the Internet. It is awarded annually
by a selection committee comprising representatives from the NANOG
Steering Committee and the ARIN Board of Trustees.

- Scholarship in Memory of Abha Ahuja.
After a brief and unexpected illness, NANOG's friend and colleague Abha Ahuja passed away on October 20, 2001.
In 2002, a scholarship fund was established in Abha's name. Donations to the "Abha Ahuja Women in Science in Engineering"
fund will benefit students at the University of Michigan College of Engineering.
- ARIN Fellowship Program.
A fellowship is also available to participate in an ARIN meeting. The ARIN Meetings Fellowship Program offers three fellowships for every ARIN meeting, one per region: United States, Canada, and the Caribbean countries located in the ARIN region.
